Council Staff - The Council has four full time staff




Gillian Bailey Parish Clerk Gillian was appointed Parish Clerk in January 2015 following the retirement of Jane Smith.  She started working for the Council in 2008 as Deputy Clerk and has achieved a her Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA).  Gillian is also the Council's Responsible Finance Officer.



Sam Middleton


Deputy Clerk/Community and Facilities Manager

The purpose of Sam's role is mainly to develop and oversee community facilities for Stirchley and Brookside, including; raising awareness of The Sambrook Centre as a community facility, increase the use of the building, increase income and to oversee the transition to building ownership including: Health and Safety and Risk Assessments, facilities contracts, facilities management, develop a customer service led approach to delivering Parish Council Services,to oversee the development of a community led model for Brookside Central and to act as deputy for the Parish Clerk.



Stella Barnley


Customer Sevice Officer


Stella is responsible for providing excellent customer services to our visitors to The Sambrook Centre and assisting with administrative work.




Aaron Kitson


Environmental Maintenance Supervisor

Over the growing season  he is busy leading our Parish Environmental Team providing our free gardening service for pensioners.  The team also look after the bus shelters, St James' Closed Churchyard, Stirchley Allotments, Play areas at the Redgra and Brindleyford and generally help keep the area looking clean and tidy.



Nikki Boronski


Children's Leader


Nikki runs our clubs in Stirchley and Brookside respectively. Nikki plans weekly sessions for various ages. She is an experienced youth worker. 




Andrea Warrington

Andrea started as a volunteer and was promoted to paid staff after completing the council's youth-work training.

Nikki started up a fantastic youth inititative in Brookside before applying to become a youth worker with the Parish Council.

  John Barnley Cleaner John works tirelessly and  is responsible for ensuring The Sambrook Centre remains spotless.







Community Project Officer

Keith works as part of the parish council team to support projects and plan events within the community.  He also works closely with the Parish Clerk to assist in driving forward the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for Stirchley and Brookside.




Chris Corbett


Committee and Finance Secretary

Chris has 30+ years Local Government experience in Committee  Administration at Telford & Wrekin Council. That experience he now gives to the Parish Council in providing secretarial support to its Council meetings and Committees. Support is also provided with financial data input into the Parish accounts system.
